It All Started
In 1983, nine local clergy embraced the idea of establishing a Christian organization dedicated to community support and addressing the growing issue of hungry families. By July 2, 1984, Christian Helping Hands (CHH) was officially in operation.
Christian Helping Hands is run by an ALL-VOLUNTEER staff, and it has seen its member churches expand to over 20, representing all denominations.
These churches adhere to God's command from Deuteronomy 15:11: 'therefore I command you, You shall open wide your hands to your brother, to the needy and to the poor in this land.'
With a network of over 100 volunteers, Christian Helping Hands provides hunger relief services to over 200 families each week, assisting more than 36,000 individuals annually.
